Overview

Calibec LLC ("Calibec," "we," "our," or "us") operates calibec.com. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit our website, how we use it, who we share it with, and what choices you have. We keep this straightforward — we're a software consultancy, not an ad network.

Information we collect

Information you give us directly

When you submit our contact form, we collect the information you provide: your name, company name, email address, phone number, and the message you send. We use this to respond to your inquiry and to follow up on potential engagements.

Information collected automatically

When you visit calibec.com, two third-party tools collect data automatically:

Google Analytics — We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use our site. Google Analytics collects your IP address (anonymized), browser type, device type, operating system, pages visited, time on page, and referring URL. This data is processed by Google and subject to Google's Privacy Policy. We do not have access to personally identifiable visitor data through Google Analytics. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

HubSpot — We use HubSpot as our CRM and marketing platform. HubSpot places a tracking cookie on your browser that may record your visit history on our site, pages viewed, and form submissions. When you submit our contact form, that information is stored in HubSpot and associated with your contact record. HubSpot's data processing is governed by HubSpot's Privacy Policy.

Cookies

Our site uses the following types of cookies:

  • Analytics cookies (Google Analytics) — track aggregate usage patterns to help us improve the site. These are non-essential.
  • Marketing cookies (HubSpot) — track visits and form submissions for CRM and follow-up purposes. These are non-essential.

Most browsers allow you to control or disable cookies through their settings. Disabling cookies may affect some site functionality.

How we use your information

  • To respond to inquiries submitted through our contact form
  • To follow up on potential or active client engagements
  • To understand how visitors use our site and improve it
  • To maintain records of business communications

We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not sell it.

Who we share information with

We share information with the following service providers, solely to operate our business:

  • Google — analytics and infrastructure
  • HubSpot — CRM and contact management

We do not share your personal information with any other third parties except as required by law.

Data retention

Contact form submissions are retained in HubSpot for as long as the contact record remains active in our CRM, or until you request deletion. Google Analytics data is retained for 14 months by default. We periodically review and purge contact records that are no longer relevant to active business relationships.

Your rights

Depending on where you are located, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:

  • Access — request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
  • Correction — request that inaccurate information be corrected
  • Deletion — request that we delete your personal information
  • Opt-out — opt out of tracking cookies through your browser settings or the opt-out tools linked above

California residents (CCPA) — you have the right to know what personal information we collect and how it is used, to request deletion, and to opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information.

EEA/UK residents (GDPR) — you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing of, and port your personal data, and to object to processing. Our lawful basis for processing contact form data is legitimate interest in responding to business inquiries.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days.

Our site may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites and encourage you to review their policies before providing any personal information.
